The Development Application for 44-48 Oxford St comes up again for determination by the NSW Planning Panel next Wednesday, July 4.
This application, if successful, will involve the demolition of the much-loved 19th Century Heritage Cottage. Council officers recommend acceptance of this DA.
If you share the concern of the Trust at the possibility of losing this heritage item, please make your views known by attending the Planning Panel meeting at Mantra Parramatta, corner of Parkes St and Valentine Ave, at 6 pm on July 4. You can register to voice your objections direct to the panel if you wish by applying by July 2, as indicated in the link below. Please also write as soon as you can to your elected representatives, to let them know that you want this cottage saved. Email addresses for our elected representatives are listed on this site under “Useful Contacts”.
